What legal statues apply to this case?
A black female teacher with ten years of classroom experiene and partial completion of her doctoral degree in education, applied for several vacant middle and secondary principalships. Each time she applie she was told by the superintendent that "the school district believe that a 'male image' is neessary for a middle or secondary school principal." No females had occupied a principal position in the school distric. So I'm trying to figure out 1. What legal statues apply to this case 2. What issues must the court decide in this case? 3. What could a judge rule 4. Is this discrimination?

- In a private school, she has no case. Private schools can and do choose people based on exactly what they want. If they want someone with their PhD and she hasn't completed it, she's out of luck. if they want someone who's over 7 feet tall, she's out of luck. If it's a public school, no one would ever dare say out loud they want a man. This is a federal E.E.O.C. case. If they won't even interview her because she's a woman, they are in violation of the law. If she is allowed to interview, but isn't hired, it'll be next to impossible for her to prove it was because of her gender. If she files a nuisance civil suit she may get a few bucks, but does she really want to wait three years for it to go to trial?
