What degrees and experiences help with admission to a Education Doctoral Program?

I have two degrees in the Performing Arts, both with excellent grades and I have some job experience. I have not taken many education courses, although I have had some courses that deal with education in the performing arts. I have suddenly realized that I am very interested in studying education, not to become a teacher in the future, but just the field of education and methods of education, (education from a psychological perspective). Do I have a chance to be admitted to a program that offers a Ph.D. in Education?
