Shall I get a doctoral degree in architecture?
I want to be an architect. I am going to start my undergraduate in September and I have a long way to go but still I want to plan ahead. Shall I get a doctoral degree in architecture? Is it worth it? Why should I get it? Almost all the famous architects that I came across have a Masters in Architect but not a doctoral degree. But I want to do it.

- If you intend to teach, get the PhD. If you intend to design buildings, stick with the Master's. Since you haven't even started yet, it's a bit premature. At this point, you cannot possibly even be sure you want to get the B. A. And there's no way you can be sure your grades will get you into grad school.
- For general career information: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search 'architects' or such. This site is supposed to have a listing of accredited programs in the field: http://www.naab.org/architecture_programs/ For US colleges: http://www.utexas.edu/world/univ
