do i need to be a top player in my country to play in NCAA division 2 or 3 schools?

Hi everyone. I am interested to play tennis in the NCAA. Maybe division 2 or division 3 schools. I have played in different tournaments locally. i have an open ranking and also a local junior ranking i will be taking my ITN soon. other than tennis, if i have good academic scores and SAT scores, but i do not play that many tourneys but can still prove to the coaches that i can play good tennis through my tennis video,can i still enter the schools??.. please please help me out.. thanks

  1. D-2 gives scholarships and you need to be a fairly good player, you can always walk on and try out for the team. D-3 schools do not give scholarships so everyone on those teams are students, and they are not as good as D-1, or D-2 athletes. Find a school you like, talk to the coach about practicing with the team.
