Are private career colleges worth the money?
I got my AA at UCF but have moved because I am pregnant. I want to finish up my bachelors but there is only Barry University, Keiser, and Everest in the area. They are tons more than I paid at UCF! There is also the community college but I feel like I'm back tracking by getting an AS or certificate. So do you think it is worth the private college to get my BA, or should I backtrack and get an AS at the affordable college? No answers?!

- Well, congratuations on your pregnancy! Hoping that both you and baby continue to be very healthy :) Regarding the schools that you'd mentioned including keiser and everest, they are in the catagory of those online, for-profit schools (though may have 'brick and mortar' buildings and may be 'accredited) and should be avoided. This consumer site has many posts by former students about those online, for-profit school (also including penn foster, ashworth, devry, ITT tech, strayer, university of phoenix, kaplan, argosy, sanford brown, high tech, ashford, colorado tech, ashwood, remington and others) as they are merely out to 'make a profit' and course credits may Not transfer to other schools: http://www.ripoffreport.com and can search. Your plan to attend the more affordable community college sounds very pragmatic (practical) and some of the course credits may transfer to a four-year college or university. Attending the community college will also allow you to take one or two classes at a time especially when having to care for your baby (knock wood ;) Regarding barry university, this consumer site has some posts by former students about the college (and other colleges) and some negative (with the 'red square'): http://www.studentsreview.com and can type the school into search and then click 'comments' or such.
