Which math subject is more important to colleges and for career opportunities?

I am going to take one, pre-calculus or algebra 2 and would like to know which one is more important to know overall. Thanks. I am interested in which subject to study as a part of my basic education, with no particular future career or college picked out.

1. Depends on what kind of career you're looking for, doesn't it? If it were me, I'd go pre-calc. That'll give you more options down the road.
2. I'd say precalc. I took it last school year and they incorporate some algebra 2 in there so you kinda get both. It really preps you for college level math in the future so I'd take it. algebra 2 is kind of like algebra 1 anyways in my opinion.
