Medical assistant- career training schools?

I would like to be a medical assistant but im having trouble with deciding on colleges. people are telling me to go to a career training and i dont need sats and it can take less than a year. is it really good? can you get a job after going to only a career training school? am i going to just waste my time? what certificate do i need in order to get a job as a medical assistant.. any info you have please feel free to tell me..

1. Dont do it. I am going in to be a medical assistant they make nothing, i wish i never did it. My kids grandma does it and hates it, its just the same old routin she haves went though for 15 years. I have a girl in my class who got her MA from appollo college never got a job, they want a real college, even if its community college. She is going in to be a LPN, its only a year and you make a lot more.
