Is it realistic to think I can walk on to a Division III Sports Team?
I'm an extremely academic person, and aspire to go to a top level school. I love to play basketball, though, and was wondering if it would be out of the question to play on their team. Is it realistic for walk-ons to be able to make a women's division III basketball team?

- How good are you? That's all that really matters. Many Division III schools do accept walk-ons, but you still need to be a good athlete. If you're an average player on an average team you probably won't make it. If you're an excellent player on an average team you may have a shot. It really depends on how many walk-ons the schools takes and how competitive it is. You should also consider club basketball (which can still be super-competitive), intramural basketball, which is pretty low-key, or contacting coaches and getting scouted for a spot on a D3 team.
