the question is "outline the reasons you have decided to apply to the program,as well as details and factors relevant to the review of your application" note..im esl student I decided to go for Information Technology Management because I like business and technology. I believe technology is improving and will still improve our society. I see technology as a huge opportunity to change society. On the other hand, business is a broad field which has helped society creates jobs and boost economies around the world. Before to apply to Ryerson I checked the curriculum of Information Technology Management and seem really interesting that this program offers business, telecommunication and information systems as main cores. Additionally, Ryerson web site offered an excellent explanation of the program and even shows what is about each course and I could get a general idea to know how this program totally fits my expectations. I have goals to accomplish after graduated from this program, I would like to begun as entrepreneur related to information systems, start a company that can help and benefit society in many ways (I haven’t decided what kind of business) but I believe I can decided ahead once I start studying at Ryerson in the program Information Technology Management. Also I now that Ryerson has entrepreneurship clubs and allow students to work in its computer laboratories. Finally, I want to found a charity designed to help children with computer literacy. Five years ago I did not have a strong desire about my life. I have post-secondary experience from El Salvador. I began University at the age of 17 years old, I choice Architecture as my career because I was just interesting in “AutoCAD” however I realized architecture is more art program than technological, which make me to failed a subject. Then I skip University a semester because the country went through social problems and I went to US to be safe, when I came back to University, I changed career to Systems Engineering, I was not the same, I had low self-esteem after my struggle into Architecture, I went to Systems Engineering because it was related to computer science, however, I realized that engineering required to you great mathematical and physics skills to be successful in the program, taking in account I struggled in engineering mathematics and programming, I made the decision to go out of engineering and changed the program for second time. Finally, I decided to follow my preference for business and information systems, I went for the Bachelor of Administrative computer systems, which I really liked because was business and computer systems, versatile program and focus about how computer systems improve business. I could not even finish a semester in the new program because I came to Canada, also, I could not drop the courses that’s the reason I have 3 courses failed with less than 2.0 points. My background education is disappointed to me. I made a lot of mistakes, starting from my decisions until my performance in each subject, I did immature actions in my studies and did not appreciate the great value of the education until I came to Canada where I realize the gold opportunity that I basically threw away in El Salvador and find that post-secondary education is a privilege. Probably, I do not have strong academic experience but I know how challenge University is and if I got accepted in Ryerson please do not make any evaluation of my credits, I want to start from the beginning and get “fresh start.” I explored all my interest program, now I really know what I want and I know what goals in my life are. My mindset has totally changed, I was volunteer with newcomers to Canada, where I helped newcomers with language or School homework, I volunteered for around 7 months, which was a new experience to me in my life. Currently, I work in Dollarama where I have been working 6 months in row, learned how to deal with people; they trained me in cash and customer service. Before to come to Canada I never work and these are reasons to believe that I changed my mindset. These time has help me to think about my life and future,Im 19 years old and I realize that I desire a post-secondary education because education is not an obligation; education is the way to be a better person for your family, society and yourself and I’m sure that education I can get it in Ryerson University. feedback is welcome.. also if u want u can write your email and i can sent to you

1. Hey! I also wrote the essay to apply to Ryerson (but for Nursing). I really like your essay. I recommend you input your essay into a grammar corrector (http://www.spellchecker.net/grammar/ is a good one). Also, I recommend you start the paragraph off as "I decided to apply to ______ ...., as it is more formaly this way) I have already been offered an early acceptance to Ryerson Nursing, my essay was much shorter and focused on why the program was the best for me. Hope I helped :)
