I want to hear from ex NAVY people that now have a good career due to their training in the NAVY?

Im trying to get some ideas for my husband who wants to join the NAVY but not sure what he wants to be yet. Id just like all kinds of input about what position you had, what it consists of & what it translated in to after you left the NAVY. Thanks so much in advance! Especially MA or IS.

1. I was an FC (Fire Controlman) and was responsible for the repair and operation of the weapon systems. Lots of electronics, some computer, and mechanical knowledge. It was a great job in the Navy, and after getting out I was hired by a medical company to repair ultrasound equipment. While doing that, I also went to school to learn how do to software. Now I am part owner of my own company, designing electronic equipment and software.
