How do you earn a doctoral degree in civil engineering?
I wasn't so sure of how to ask this question! But it's something like that. I see that engineers earn more money if they have a doctoral degree. Does that require more years of studying (university)?

- Shyeah. You start with four years of students smarter than you to get a batchelors, then smarter students you fight for two years to get a masters, then you have to impress geniuses to take an additional three years of schooling with your contribution to knowledge...not gonna happen.
- Yes. The typical path to that would be: Bachalor's degree in CE: 4-5 years Master's degree in CE: 2-3 years PhD in CE: 4-8 years So it'll take you at least 10 years in the best of the cases to get there. Notice that the length of the PhD depends on your topic of research.
