  1. First, do not dare to use texting abbreviations in a survey. They work in IM and txt but in business would turn you away without an answer. Make sure your punctuation and grammar are perfect. I will browse for content of questions... 1 do u have the appropriate working hours as stated on your contract? Answers could be what contract? What is appropriate? >> Are you working the number of hours and time of day that you expected when first hired? 2 do u feel you are given an unfair amount of work? >> ...................... appropriate amount of work? 3 do u have enough income to cover your outcomes? >>...............expenses? 4 does your job make you feel insecure/tired/stressed 5 have they given you a contract? >> Do you have job security? (not contract) 6 do u feel yr job is secure? >> same question 7 did u receive any training in the past 2 years? >>.... when you started? ...On the job? (which means later) 8 do u feel your personal info is kept safe? >> .....................secure? 9 do u feel a part of yr working team? 10 are you respected by yr employers? 11 do u know the people you work with? >> .......socialize with the people...? instead of "know" 12 does yr company throw any parties/events for the employees? >>> not throw. have any parties or special event celebrations for... 13 does yr company use job enrichment enlargement as a form of motivation? >>> too specific .. Does your company have cross-training for the employees?... or something like that 14 do u have a sense of achievement? 15 do u get rewards for yr work? >>> It is called a paycheck. Maybe as "Do you feel your job is rewarding?" 16 do u feel confident about yr self at work? 17 do u feel confident doing yr job? 18 do u have the confidence to express ideology? >> Ideology? Not sure what that means. Maybe confidence to suggest new ideas and improvements? 19 does yr Company help you build a positive attitude towards yr job/work? 20 can u say yr at the right place? 21 do u feel good enough for the job ur doing? >> Dou you feel qualified to do the job you are doing? 22 would u go for a promotion if there was an opportunity? >> Would you accept a promotion... 23 how are u motivated? >> What motivates you to do a better job? 24 do u get financial bonuses? 25 how do u feel about yr career? 26 are u responsible for dealing with any other employees? >> ..................for interacting with any other employees? You covered a good range of topics. The questions are good and complete. I don't like any of the abreviations to use in a business survey and the wording could be improved to be more general and less open to question, as I suggest above. (I am a young retired purchasing engineer with an Master of Business degree also)
  2. You could ask what is currently wrong with or not working in your current role, or if you wanted to phrase that more constructively, you say can you tell me what improvements you would like to see in your working circumstances? If these issues have been noticed then there is a good chance that changing them may have an impact upon motivation. You can possibly also ask this twice, by asking about both terms and conditions (including pensions), and the duties of the post and the role itself. You could also ask about the current economic environment and its effect on motivation. Is the company operating strongly enough and taking all necessary economic and business precautions etc? Also, does the company have any CSR policies or community involvement? What are their attitudes to their environmental footprint and are they taking steps to address this? Does this have any implications for the staff engagement? (eg do you feel engaged in the activities and objectives of the business?) Are there any other ethical issues to be considered? As we are talking about HR issues here, you could also ask if HR policies, especially equal opportunities and diversity have any effect on the feeling of involvement. Finally I would google some pages on the concept of the Employer Brand, to see if this inspires any questions people might be willing to answer about the reputation of the place they work for. Hope this helps!!
