How would I go about on getting a doctoral degree in ichthyology?
I recently finished high school and now I'm looking for a career, and it seems ichthyology would be the best fit for me. So I'd like to know how I can well become one, what I need to do to get a doctoral degree, and where should I start? Should I start working part time in an aquarium store? What are some good schools where I can learn this? Working at a zoo I will not do, as I am strongly against them. Thanks in advance.

- Find a college or university that is big on marine biology, do their degree and make friends with the professors, take up jobs in their labs if there are any. When the time comes for grad school you should be able to apply for a position in a marine biology lab and they'll probably be happy to give you a reference. Working in an aquarium store probably won't matter, but since you like it I guess it's a great job to have on the side while in college.
