question about MMC - medicine?

MMC is basically a programme that provides career structure for doctors. The aim was to provide a structure for SHO's because initially many had no career direction. Currently the F1 and F2 (replacing PRHO and SHO) at the stages leading to the specalisation after the second year in several branches of medicine (some have criticesed this as it removes doctor's freedom to explore many specialisms) Doctors then undergo Spectialty training at the end of which they recieve certificate of completion of training and can them become a specalist registrar and eventuallyt consutlant or GP is this all correct

  1. I suppose that is the basic idea. It is based on an incorrect assumption, however. The majority of physicians have a pretty strong idea of their desired area of specialization by the end of their third year in medical school.
