Supplement Essay??? REVIEW?
Im doing my supplemental essays for Michigan and basically I read them and I see nothing wrong, but if you see any mistakes and feel it needs some editing, can you please make the corrections. Everyone belongs to many different communities and/or groups defined by (among other things) shared geography, religion, ethnicity, income, cuisine, interest, race, ideology, or intellectual heritage. Choose one of the communities to which you belong, and describe that community and your place within it. (Approximately 250 words) Being Christian has been a part of my everyday life. My parents were very involved in church. The church we attended was in East Los Angeles, it wasn’t the best neighborhood but it has allowed me to learn and grow as an individual. From a small age I would attend the children’s class, the class taught me rules and guidelines that we had to follow and obey. I always believed these teachings would lead to a prosperous life, which has influenced the person I have become. Church has just been as important as family, I grew up with everybody there, so I could call them my family. Everybody at the church comes from different backgrounds and perspectives, some from bad life styles and some from great life styles. Since there were individuals older and younger than me, I looked to learn and take from their perspectives to influence others as well as myself. The church grows and stays stable by the contributions of its people, volunteering and helping others whether it is advice or work has came naturally from the environment and my parents. Following these Christian morals to the best of my ability’s has given me some big shoes to fill. I took the obligation to be a role model of my community and show that anybody can make it. Describe the unique qualities that attract you to the specific undergraduate College or School (including preferred admission and dual degree programs) to which you are applying at the University of Michigan. How would that curriculum support your interests? (500 words maximum) I had an engineering bug that made me take my toys apart, assemble them together again, and figure out how video games worked; I wanted to know how it all came together with software and hardware, which has led to my ambition in technology. At a small age I couldn’t figure out how it worked but I wanted to understand it. My desire to comprehend stuck through my life. My desire leads me to majoring in Engineering. The University of Michigan a wide range of engineering majors, not many schools offer so many paths. US news ranks the University of Michigan at number nine for the best engineering schools. On top the University of Michigan is considered a top medical school, which catches my attention because my second major is in medicine. I really enjoyed AP Chemistry in high school; I found it fascinating how almost everything around us is made from chemicals. Its amazing how we can create drugs that can make you feel happier, better, and healthy. I feel chemistry could open up to many career paths in the medical field. Looking into Michigan’s majors, I noticed that the university offers Athletic Training/Sports Medicine. It caught my attention because I always been interested how athletes pre-pared from games or events, whether it be the supplements or exercises they preform. Looking towards the future it looks like very interesting and career I could see myself in. The University of Michigan offers every aspect I look to pursue in my education. It’s a top school in the country in both engineering and medical, I feel I would be able to explore my interest passion at the University of Michigan.
