What are the hot or higher growth industries of today or tomorrow with above average employment opportunities?

I'm thinking on making a major career change and would like to get into a hot growth industry. I'm at a middle management level in a large corporation but am qualified to be senior management at a smaller company. If additional training or education is required, I can do that. I just want to choose something with genuine upward mobility potential. What industries or businesses do you recommend? Also, what parts of the US or the world would you recommend as I am willing to relocate from my current state of Texas.
