Does an International Business degree in Marketing payoff?

I am currently tossing around the idea of going for an International Business degree in Marketing. My question is, is does it pay to get that degree or would it be better to get a Global Management degree? Both interest me but I would like some feedback from people that know.

1. A friend of mine studied international business with marketing as her major. She's currently traveling all over North America doing trade shows and such. She seems to be having a blast, even after 7 years in the business. From her lifestyle, I would say the pay is pretty generous too. I guess it depends on what you want to do exactly. But check out the relevant job opportunities in your area because it doesn't seem to be a high demand type of field.
