Is it necessary to have 1st division marks to get a job in a good company.?

I dont have 1st division in any of my academics but i am having a good knowledge over the subjects i read and can work efficiently is it really matters not having 1st division.I want the answers from hr experts

1. reaching the interview table is difficult without a 1st div. however, if you can reach using your sources, try to impress the interviwer with your knowledge.
2. Not really. Sometimes it's better to be a student who had to work his tail off to get through. He knows the meaning of hard work and what it can accomplish.
