Does the army offer careers in martial arts training for those who qualify?
I train dilgently in martial arts and supplimental training, and am wondering if the army has career programs that specialize in only training myself and others in martial arts.

- they might but not much need for hand to hand combat anymore
- nope
- Same answer as when you asked the same question about the Air Force - no.
- The Marine Corps does have full time martial arts instructors, however you do not walk in the door with that job. There is a Marine Corps martial arts program/curriculum that is taught. So the fact that you may be a civilian who possesses a black belt in a specific discipline may help you later on in the process, but you would have to join the Marines and qualify to be an instructor before you would be assigned by them to teach. Hope this helps.
- All of the martial arts folks I knew in the military persued it on their own. The military gives time off to compete, but no real help. Chuck Norris was the military karate chanpion in Okinawa and paylayed that up to a nice comfortable life today. The other Hollywood tough guys would not want to tangle with Chuck despite his age.
