Did anyone major in English Literature? If so, what is your career now?

I ask this because I majored in English Literature and since then I have found it hard to find a job. I'm not really sure what to do. I am currently attending a career training school, so that I can work in office administration. To other people who majored in English Literature, what is your career now?

1. i had lots of random, sometimes boring and/or irritating jobs in retail, working as a bank teller, etc., just to get the bills paid. finally i scored a "real" job editing documents for a consulting firm. doesn't pay that well but it's better than all of the BS work i did for years after college. good luck. it's hard to find work with this kind of degree if you don't want to teach.
2. Right out of college I got a job as a copy writer for a publishing house. I wrote advertising copy for book jackets and descriptions for catalogs among other things. I've done a lot of other things over the years but that is what best fit my English major just out of college. Presently I am a REALTOR.
