what training do you need to advance in nursing career?

- At any hospital they will have the information for you at a nursing office station, with all the info. pamphlets and so on you would require for whatever direction you wish to follow.
- It depends on where you are in your career now, and which country you are in. In Australia for example if you have no training you would start at the bottom and get your Div2 qualifications. Then choose and area that you enjoy and would like to pursue. Nominate your self for placements in that field and do as many courses to advance in that area, all the while complete your Div 1 registration. Many years of work ahead of you so make sure you have a passion for what you do.
- actually any college will get u trained in about 2 yrs.....
- To advance, I suppose you would specialize (pediatric nursing, cardiac nurse, etc). You could get a doctorate in nursing and become an administrator in a hospital. If you are in nurses training (or want to be), I'm sure the program director at whichever school you attend can advise you about 100's of options.
- In the US, it's all about higher education. Get a master's degree in a specialty area of your interest. Get plenty of work experience under your belt. Advancing in any career is usually about acquiring more education and work experience, and it's something that takes time and dedication and will not happen overnight.
