  1. I quit my career once because my wife was not happy. I really enjoyed my career. Well, in order to make my marriage work, I took a differnent job and made some drastic changes. My wife left anyway and now I am getting divorced. It was hard for me to get my job back as a firefighter/emt, but I did it. If she really loves you, and you love what you do, she wouldn't make you choose between her and a career. Being with someone is about compromise most of the time, but sometimes it's about sacrifice. You may sacrifice your career if you want to, but it's only two years. In the three years my sister and brother-in-law have been married, my brother-in-law has been deployed all but about 6 months. They love each other very much, and they make their marriage work. You can endure anything if only you believe you can. I wish you the best of luck in your situation, and hope you make the decision that you feel is best.
  2. I quit my job to marry my husband as he took a job to better his career so it was a sacrifice - but worth it in the end. It was hard because I had a wonderful nursing job (great hours, no holidays, great pay/benefits) and didn't realize how hard it would be to match that. (I never did). My husband always had my support with his career - Love doesn't pay the rent.. so if it will better you to better your life she may have to adjust - :)
